Japan

While I was in the military I went to two places the Philippians, and Japan. I don't have much to say about the Philippians because its not great and we only had some areas we could go which pretended to be america with people on every street corner trying to sell you crap. Japan on the other hand has so many things I can talk about so I will highlight a few spots. I was lucky to go to Tokyo on my last mission it was a very rare occurrence for my command.
It was a amazing to be able to visit and see such a different culture. The first thing you may notice is that everything is compacted to fill as much space as possible. when you are down on the street you are surrounded by building and noise but it never seems to loud you can't enjoy the surroundings.
This was about a 20 minute train ride from Tokyo called Kamakura. This area is the more religious part of Tokyo for Shinto shrines such at the picture above but also for the Giant Buddha which is the picture below. These places were full of people going to see the amazing architecture but also people going to pray at the shrines. Japan is an amazing place and I have been to Sasebo, Okinawa, Naha, Yokuska, and Tokyo. I want to see so much more of it such as Kyoto. I cannot wait to go back for vacation and not just a port visit for work!

My Doggos!

This is Roku! This is my wife's doggo. He is an American Stafford-shire Terrier, but most people just clump him into the "Pit-bull" generalization. He is the most kind dog in the world. The things he likes the most is swimming, chasing his tale. meeting other people/dogs, and getting pet as much as possible. The things he dislikes are baths, getting scolded, and leaving the dog park. He is currently being trained to be a therapy dog!

This is Tori! She is my doggo! She is a doberman pincer. She is very shy but can still come out of her shell when she is playing with Roku! She can be kind of mean when other dogs sniff her for to long. She is very loyal and loves to bork only when she is in the back yard. The things she likes are running, tug of war, and chew bones! The things she does not like are strange objects, loud noises, and coming inside when she doesn't want to. She listens to commands very well!

Time to Empty the Kitchen

Today is the day. I have to empty out my kitchen because it is going to be remodeled! You really don't know how much garbage you have until you have to remove it piece by piece. How many utensils you don't actually use and how many spice actually expire. I mean who would think cumin could go "bad". I think the hardest part of taking the kitchen apart is that the kitchen is about half of my house! Where am I going to put half of my house when the other half is already full of more stuff and things?! I guess I have no choice but to live in a claustrophobic area for the time being. I am extremely excited to see how this all turns out! i mean who doesn't like new things especially when you pick out exactly how it is going to look.
